You got the interview! Now the real work begins. Preparation is the key to confidence.
1. Research the Company
Know their mission, products, recent news, and competitors. Look up your interviewers on LinkedIn.
2. Practice the STAR Method
For behavioral questions ("Tell me about a time when..."), use STAR:
- Situation: Set the scene.
- Task: What was the challenge?
- Action: What did YOU do?
- Result: What was the outcome? (Use numbers).
3. Prepare Your Questions
Always ask questions at the end. It shows interest. Example: "What does success look like in this role in the first 90 days?"
4. The Technical Setup (For Remote Interviews)
Test your camera, microphone, and lighting 15 minutes before the call. Ensure a clutter-free background.
